Paper based records are still by far the most common method used in recording a patient’s information for most hospitals and practicing doctors. Majority of them prefer a manual but in a low cost way of creating and storing records. It may be easy as they are, however, when you want to collate all these data into a single location for a review, then these will become time consuming and quite complicated. That is why Acrendo has introduced a modern system that would simplify all the recording, collating and retrieving jobs and this is called the EMR or Electronic Medical Records. EMR and its Benefits Just like any other record keeping, saving space is one of the important things to consider. Instead of keeping huge paper files of patients in cabinets, all records are now kept on computers. Although someone must store these records in computers, this will still give a small percentage of space required to store physical files. Another thing is that it creates 60% more efficiencies for patients and their providers, as well as health payment systems. pediatric emr is also safe and accurate. Usually doctors would know a patient’s health history by asking. Each time you visit a doctor’s office, you are asked to fill out forms about your past diagnosis. For example, you had surgeries or you are taking this kind of medication or let’s say you have allergies on a particular medicine. If a patient forgot a piece of information, the doctor might not have that piece of medical enigma to work with. However, when doctors are sharing information of patients, you will just be asked of the basic information like name, date of birth, or anything that would identify you so they can check it on the database and start pulling up your records. This is far more complete than what you have written in the forms. The diagnosis and treatments is now adjusted or adapted based on your information. At most, quick access to records can be lifesaving if an emergency occurs and you need an abrupt answer in decision makings. Furthermore using pediatric EMR is a great choice for every doctors and patients. Both will be equally benefited as the patient can monitor his health condition while for doctors, EMR will provide the e-prescribing, automated growth charts, vaccine alerts, onscreen super-bill, and scanning & image editing. All these perks will be automatically given by the system anytime the doctor would need it.
