While your food is digesting there are a lot of gasses inside you. Yoga works to release those gases. If you have just eaten you are going to fart in class. Yoga instructors often tell you to center your anus or focus on rectum or even do the downward dog. It’s funny the first hundred times. Get all of your giggling out of the way in beginner classes with everyone else. Serious yoga practitioners don’t find the anus a laughing matter.
