Generational differences needs to be managed and it is the job of upper management to notice and know what to do about it. It is important to understand how to manage all generations, which there are four of them. A company will teach their employees about the different types of personalities to better serve their customers. Along with different personalities, there are different generations, all can contribute to a company's profit. Traditionalists and baby boomers on the other hand are more resistant to change, they think if it isn't broken, why fix it, by working together there can be some middle ground. It is beneficial to have different generations working together because of the different views, attitudes and expectations. The workplace having much diversity is beneficial, more ideas and solutions will arise. The younger generations can learn a thing or to from the older generations because of their wisdom and experience. Learning from one another is the goal in order to produce better solutions and ideas. Having a gap in generations throughout the workplace can be difficult but is surely profitable. Continuous training to employees about these topics is vital for upper management to do. Generations, young and old, are seen working together this is because people are retiring at a later age, the distinct generational differences become noticeable and to successfully manage this will lead to success.
