Hoarding is a specific sign of OCD which people seen keeping large amounts of worthless and useless items, along with the inability to discard them. It often creates overcrowded living conditions at homes for most part of the house occupies excessive waste items. It is mostly seen in sinks, desks, stairways and in bedroom. A doctor identify that compulsive hoarding is a failure to discard possessions that are limited value and this behavior is common to all people but it only become a clinical disorder when this behavior result to clutter and effect to have an unhealthy living. People with hoarding problems are mostly have difficulties in accepting their situations and dealing with their treatment. So it is important to have some with loved ones or other family members must help and guide them. They must follow a treatment plan if their special someone is receiving treatment. Through this, they will be able to understand more about their situation. Next is to make sure that they are getting proper nutrition and personal hygiene. Try to prepare their meals and lately teach them to clear the areas in the kitchen where they can cook and prepare meals. Make sure that they take a bath everyday and wash their hands before eating. Try to make them connect with other people. Start with other members in the family, then relatives, and friends. Begin in small number of people before in a large crowd. With these, they will not isolate themselves and not fell alone and lonely. Maybe in the later they will allow some visitors to do to their houses. Teach them to clean their messes little by little. Help them motivated in cleaning their trash and collections. And lastly, for their collections of pets, they must minimize the number of pets at their houses so that they will be able to provide attention, feed them nutritiously, have a healthy environment for them and even visit a veterinarian if they not in good condition.
