Roberta McNabb has worked hard to create awareness about autism in the society. There are autistic children in the society who can benefit greatly from therapy solutions like ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) as they can learn faster and better than their counterparts. The methods used in Applied Behavior Analysis are used to modify behaviors according to the environments. The research done in this field has involved behavioral intervention methods and research to investigate how humans adapt and maintain their behavior. Roberta McNabb and her husband Ed McNabb fought in the court for their son Jordan McNabb so that he could receive medically needed therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis). The couple was victorious in the court and the government will help them with the cost of therapy that ranges from $50000 to $60000 a year. Through Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) people on the spectrum have been effectively taught communication, self-help skills, socialization and academics. This is the only scientifically proven method that has shown results and has been used for more than thirty years. As a doting mother, Roberta McNabb has dedicated her life to her son Jordan. She says that sometimes she wonders why this happened to Jordan but her sorrow is short-lived when she realizes that Jordan is happy and he pure and beautiful inside and out. Roberta has also visited Jake’s House, a young charity with 5 years running that supports children and families that are dealing with the effects of autism located in Toronto, Ontario. The charity was founded by the parents of Jake, David and Irene Bodanis looking to help out other families by using their own personal experiences with autism. Through the charity, Roberta McNabb hopes to provide help, assistance and support to other families that are living with autistic members and looking for a way to make life easier for all of them. Roberta McNabb lives in Canada.
