Children's Entertainers can be a wonderful way to keep children excited at a party. The entertainers can be anything from a clown to a favorite cartoon character. Parents will often hire someone to dress up as their child's favorite character for their birthday. The individual will be able to make an appearance at the party and take pictures with the children. Clowns and magicians are also a great choice. They will put on an entire show for the children. This show will include magic tricks, balloon sculpting and even face painting. The best entertainers will get the kids involved in the party. They will get the children to assist them in their tricks. This will keep the kids laughing and involved. If you opt to have an entertainer you will want to check out their show. Ask them what types of tricks they perform and make sure that they are age- appropriate. You also want to discuss the length of the show. It is usually best to have the entertainment at the middle of the party. If you have them perform too early, you risk people missing the performance. They may be late or not quite settled in enough. If the performance is too late during the party, then you run the risk that people may have to leave early. Sandwich the performance in between the greetings, eating and other activities. If you choose to have a magician, you may want to give the children magic kits as a favor. This will follow the theme of the entire party. Clowns lend themselves well to a circus theme. Make your backyard into a circus-like atmosphere. Renting a cotton candy machine or popcorn machine is a good way to keep the theme going. No matter what theme you choose, really go for it! Visit your local party store for help with decorations and giveaways. The staff will undoubtedly have good ideas about will work for your party. It will be important that you keep the age of the party guest in mind. Remember that the children will come with adults. You want to have a relaxing area for the adults were they are away from the children and can relax and enjoy the day as well. Finally, you will want to take into account the birthday boy or girl. Make sure that the entertainer you hire understands that they are the star. Ask that a special trick or surprise be planned just for them.
