All natural food contain both acid and alkalinizing forming elements. In some, acid element dominates and in others alkaline element dominates. The simple solution to correct an overly acid body is to make changes to the diet and lifestyle. An acidic body will also decrease the body’s ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients which are essential in maintaining our health. A high acid intake is known to cause ill health, including diseases such as cancer as well as early aging. But when an ideal ratio is maintained, the body has a strong resistance against all diseases and can also help you return to health. Some examples of acid forming foods are; bread make from refined white flour, cakes and other baking also made from white flour, pasta, cheese, ice cream and butter, jams and jellies, peanuts, bacon, beef, alcohol and soft drinks.
