The part 2 of 2009’s The Hangover starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong has set box office on fire, topping over Kung Fu Panda 2 and other movies that were simultaneously released with the sequel. It has with estimated $105.8M gain over the long Friday-to-Monday holiday weekend and another $137.4M in the next five days since its Thursday launch. The movie is being played in 3,615 locations, with a theater average of incredible $29,257 over four days. For the plot of the movie, Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married and he will have a new adventure in Thailand. His bride-to-be (Jamie Chung) will be in Bangkok in respect to her parents. Along for the ride are Phil (Bradley Cooper), Doug (Justin Bartha) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis). Two nights before the wedding, the four along with Stu’s future brother-in-law Teddy (Mason Lee) have a drink. The next day, they will find themselves in a trio in a hotel room. They cannot remember what happened the last night so they cannot explain the new damages on their appearances, the monkey that replaced their tiger and the whereabouts of their fourth companion Teddy. The movie will show what happened to them while they are in Thailand. In earlier reports, it was said that Mel Gibson would play the role of a tattoo artist in the movie but this plan was dropped after receiving protests from cast and crew. The role was then given to Liam Neeson. Reviewer Matt Goldber noted: “The Hangover Part II doesn’t radically alter or improve on the first film. Its greatest contribution is simply a grander scale and some solid comic set-ups with a steady stream of jokes that work well enough, but there’s nothing here that will hit you with the same force as the original. More of the same may be the right formula for some franchises (like Fast and the Furious), but The Hangover isn’t one of them.” Todd Phillips directed The Hangover: Part 2 and co-authored the script together with Craig Mazin and Scot Armstrong. Legendary Pictures produced the film. It was released in the US on May 26, 2011 under Warner Bros. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ New Media Services, the new standard in information services and mobile entertainment provides easy-to-integrate services for any and all campaigns for maximum coverage.
