The continued growth and expansion of the technology sector requires a continuous stream of fresh talent. Technical recruiters spend their days working the phones, monitoring websites and talking to people, looking for the next Bill Gates or Paul Allen…or even the next Dilbert. The spring of the year is prime time for technical recruitment. College students are graduating, and are looking for work to help pay off their student loans and to get started in their chosen careers. Established workers are interested in changing jobs, looking for new opportunities, maybe trying something different to help expand and develop their careers. Recruiters tap into these groups by holding special events on campuses, looking to fill orders from companies. They also spend a lot of time networking, finding contacts in various companies that could lead to offering jobs to current workers. Some fields are more open to technical recruitment than others. Recruitment for aerospace, as an example, tends to find many potential candidates. The industry is attractive, usually on the cutting edge of technology, and thus of interest to graduates who majored in the field, as well as physics and mathematics majors. Aerospace firms also tend to be in pleasant locations, like Florida, California and Arizona. This can be a significant incentive for mid-career changes, allowing established professionals to move where the weather is more to their liking. Recruitment for automotive engineers follows a somewhat similar path. The field is expanding, with a lot of resources dedicated to research and development, particularly attractive to new graduates as well as those who feel limited in their current jobs. The automotive industry is on the upswing after the recent recession, with many new positions being created as automakers shift their focus to fuel-efficient and alternative-powered vehicles. This is a good field for mechanical and electrical engineers as well as environmental specialists and those who have focused on design and ergonomics. In all cases, the technical recruiter is looking for substantial credentials in the targeted field, Internships and special project work is desired for new graduates, and a demonstrated mastery of the discipline makes current workers more attractive for these openings. The good technical recruiter considers these factors along with the personality of the candidate, combining solid facts with an instinct for how the person will perform in these demanding environments. Like all personnel-based decisions, technical recruitment is as much of an art as it is a science. Mane Contract Services Ltd offer Aerospace Jobs and Automotive Jobs
