This technology uses a radio or infrared frequency to transmit the answers of a learner in response to the questions that have been asked by the teacher. The responses that learners make are recorded. They are also displayed as a part of class presentation. The hardware has a remote that is used by the learners. The teacher connects a USB port to connect a receiver to the computer. The software collects and then displays the answers from the learners. The technology can be used effectively during sessions that involve both small and large groups. It can also be used during the question and answer sessions that have questions with multiple choice answers. It is essential to have an interactive environment during learning, in order to make the experience pleasant. The classroom response system helps in achieving the interaction. When the system is applied in a classroom situation, there has to be a computer or video projector to project the presentation. The system displays questions alongside several probable answers. The students use the keypad of the system to choose the answer that they think is the correct one. The results are gathered by response software. It then displays the aggregate data in form of a graph.
