In addition to that, EMR can also reduce medical records by eliminating a common adverse effect of using paper-based records, which is poor legibility. Convenience in Transferring of Medical Records Another advantage of using EMR software is because it’s a lot easier and convenient for one health care institution, like a hospital, to transfer their patient’s medical record to another hospital through the use of the Internet, which is unlike the use of paper-based medical records which would usually involve hiring a courier service.
