Sometimes it is hard to get along with others because of the many diversities that surround people and their dynamic generational differences. Even though there are traits that may set us all apart, working together can lead to a great outcome. It is also up to upper management to put together teams and strategies that will work productively together. Generations are devised by the certain year in which we were born. Those people born between 1900 to 1945 are in a generation called Veterans; these people come from a time where respect was given at all times. People from this particular era were well respected and praised for their status. While many from this period of time have stopped working, there are quite a few who still work and give great advice to others as well. The next generation to come about came from the mid 1900's and brought them the title of baby boomers. There were many times in which this generation labeled itself as a strong defense, and they have carried on that through the many years. These generations must be trained to understand that they need to work through their noticeable generational differences to make it through their many troubles and trials in life and in business. There are a number of ways that all generations can form together to produce a positive outcome. Generation X is one of the generations that wanted something balanced in their social and business life. Something to be understood is that no matter what, all come together in this generation and have similar beliefs. The understood terms of this generation were that they would be respected not treated like they were beneath anyone of authority. There were so many advancements throughout this generation that it had to learn how to keep up, but it was relatively simple in thought. Anyone born in between 1981 and 2000 are called generation Y because of their tech savvy ideals. All the information in the world is accessible to this high speed generation. Despite everything this generation is ready and willing to learn new things and could definitely take notes from the veteran generation as well. As we think about the new generation to come, you cannot help but wonder how they will survive all that the past generation have bestowed upon them and what they will make of it. It is important to be aware of every generation and know that everyone does not think like the other, especially when they come from a different time. When dealing with business, you have to understand that you need to create a working partnership between many different generations. The many generations of the world have a plate full learning how they can come to work together, but it is something that will just have to be done in this new day and age.
