Banner Advertising is one of the most popular forms of outdoor advertising used by the companies to promote their product. Banner advertising started in the 1960's and began to be used worldwide since the 1970’s. The printing technology that is available today is far ahead of what was available in the 1970’s. The clarity of the picture and the text appearing in the banners is clearer and sharper than it used to be. Vinyl banners started to became popular in the 1980’s, as more and more FMCG companies started to use these banners to promote their products. Some companies use these vinyl banners just outside their facility as a sign mark. Vinyl banners have been used more often than other material because of its ability to withstand different types of weather conditions. As the banners will be used at locations where there will be gusty winds, the banner material should be able to withstand these winds sweeping at high speeds. In addition to the wind, extreme heat also may cause the content in the banner to fade away quickly. Thus vinyl banners provide a very good base for printing the required picture and material. The content printed on a vinyl banner will be able to last longer than the content printed on ordinary outdoor banners. One of the most important aspects with respect to these outdoor banners is their location. The business owners should be able to identify points where the most customers will pass by. It could be on a highway, where many cars and vans will usually pass through, or it could be one on the main street where many historical monuments and places of interest are located. On these main streets, there may be a lot of vendors selling food and there will be a lot of crowd around the main streets. These are some of the points the business owners can consider when installing vinyl banners. Nowadays there are high quality digital inks that are available for printing purposes. These digital inks last longer than traditional printing inks and also provide a sharper and a crystal clear view of the material and the pictures that are printed on these banners. People passing on the highway will commonly be drawn to look at digital ink printed vinyl banners, and the fact that they see the banner every day tends to really cement the marketing message in their mind.
