(MLA) Format Sample Essay If you are going to write your essay you should know that you should follow MLA Format (Modern Language Association). You should remember that the writer who uses MLA format also build his or her credibility by demonstrating accountability to his or her source material. Besides, if you use MLA format you can protect yourself from accusations of plagiarism that is the accidental or purposeful use of source info by other authors. Sample Essay in MLA Format Main Recommendations If you want to write your essay you need to acquaint yourself with general rules that will help you to find out how to write an essay in MLA Format. If you are interested in it, below you can read the main recommendations and general rules on how to write MLA essay. First MLA Essay Page The writer should begin the typing on the top left of the page. Initially, write such points. • Mention your name. • Your Teacher’s name. • Course title and number. • The date of your submission. You need to use double space between each item. Place the title at the centre of your page. Below the last line of your title make a double space and begin writing your first paragraph. Such format of writing as MLA essay should not have a separate title page but you are obliged to have the “header” that includes the last name of the author and the number of current page. The “header” should be one half inch (1.27cm). Don’t forget that at your MLA Format Essay you should use double spacing between all lines. Besides, don’t forget to have 1 inch (2.54cm.) margin on all sides. The author had to use 12 point Times New Roman font. Subsequent Pages of your MLA Format Essay At your subsequent pages you need to continue the “header” with the page number and your last name. Number the pages in consecutive order. Your “header” should be one half inch (1.27cm) from the top of the page. Your Endnotes Continue writing your “header” on each page. Your “header” should be the same as in other pages one half inch (1.27cm) also. Make double spacing between all lines. MLA Works List Write “Works List” one inch from the top of the page. Indicate the info about each source and make the list in alphabetical order. Once again use double spacing between all your lines.
