There are many places in the U.S. and around the world having problems with zebra mussels.They are a nuisance for boaters, scuba divers, water management programs and wildlife ecosystems. Companies are looking for ways to control these mussels and other similar species for many reasons. They are clogging up many pipelines and pumping systems. The cost of controlling the water systems and pumps is getting out of control. Replacing them can be a considerable cost. This can lead to down time and interrupted service to the people who depend on the water, as well as, spending our taxpayer dollars. Farmers and residential users can be affected if they depend on a water source that is pumped to them from a reservoir or stream. City water supplies coming from rivers or lakes can be disrupted. Recreational vehicles like boats and jet skis will be affected. The people who use these services will be irritated by the delays and time spent to prevent the spread of these mollusks. Thanks to current innovations there are ways to stop the clogs and reduce the numbers of zebra mussels left to reproduce. In 2001, around the Great Lakes area, an estimated 4 to 5 billion dollars in damage was to occur. Female zebra mussels can reportedly reproduce over 1,000,000,000 eggs according to a report posted on the internet. This makes them a very volatile and formidable parasite. I have been the fortunate recipient of a product that can eliminate zebra mussels under certain circumstances. This can be done effectively in situations where you can contain the water flow in a controlled area and add a descaling product to the infected area. For example, pipelines, pumps, cooling towers and anything else you can restrict movement of water.This product dissolves the zebra mussel shells, rust, calcium and lime build up. Iron or steel septic and sewer pipes can be cleaned as well without sulfuric or other harmful acids. There are many other applications for this product and it is 100% green.
