• Find creative ways to attract fresh, new shoppers. Adding new shoppers is one of the fastest methods to add to dollar store sales. While this can be the most expensive way to grow your business, if you can convert these new shoppers into repeat customers, the strategy will pay off in the end. There are all kinds of tactics to get new shoppers to come to your store such as print advertising, or mailers that go out to people periodically. Also, use local community events to promote your dollar store business. A dollar store is a great business to promote during any type of community event, or family fair event. Stay on-track with these efforts to move ever-closer to your success with dollar stores.

• Keep the customers who are already loyal to you. The goal of any business is to keep the customers the business already has, while obtaining new customers. You can do this by giving them outstanding customer service, and a great shopping experience. Make sure that you are operating a clean and inviting store people actually want to step foot in. Make sure your merchandise is easy to find, the store is well lit, and the music is inviting. Also feature any new merchandise items you feel might be of interest.

• Find ways to increase the size of all dollar store sales you make. The key is to slowly but surely increase the number of items purchased so your store realizes even more money on each of the dollar store sales made.
