The contrast agents are also called as dye. It is a fluid used to differentiate the tissues from one another; it is administered to the body of the patient intravenously, orally or rectally. It can even attenuate the powerful x rays. When injected to the patient’s body, it moves all along the body and gets absorbed by the organs. When the body is passed through the cylindrical sphere and the radiation is passed through the body, the x rays get attenuated which in turn highlights the organ containing the contrast and it appear as the area that are white in the imaged developed.
