Do not be fooled into thinking that backpacking is a cheap way to travel. Depending on where you want to go, several buses may be required every day. These tickets can quickly add up. Hiring a vehicle will probably only cost as much as these if not less. So to truly enjoy your once in a lifetime holiday it is better to travel by van.
