You can write, “The favor of a reply is requested before the seventeenth day of May.” This will inform them that they are required to reply as to their availability so that you wouldn’t have to pay for the seats that they will take in their absence. You can also make it more specific allowing them to check a box that says “Attending or Not Attending.” They will only check the appropriate box and send the invitation back to you. Or, you can also give them your email address so that they could inform you if they are available or not on your wedding day. You can also write your telephone number on the invitation so that they can call you to affirm their attendance. Thank Your Guests If the ones you invited come to your wedding you may give them gift sets to appreciate their presence. Your gifts reflect your interests or hobbies.
