All of us have the right to enjoy and have fun in their homes. Composing the top three basic entertainment needs are our computers, sounds, and gaming gadgets. But above all, there is what we call the most common entertainment. It is the television or commonly known as TV. Watching television is more entertaining nowadays than reading books. They see actual people and scenes moving. Unlike when reading books, you have to take effort in visualizing events and faces. How does it work? Signals are being transmitted from local stations to your antenna-type television. But the access to channels are only limited especially in the Philippines. Channels such as ABS-CBN, GMA, TV5, RPN and Studio 23 are the local shows Filipinos here and abroad commonly watch. But the contentment of Filipinos does not end there. When it comes to television entertainment those channels are not good enough. Good receptions are not guaranteed because it all depends on the location and area of connectivity. Due to limited range of transmission of the antenna to the main power, there are a number of areas that cannot be covered by the local TV station signals. That's where the television entertainment provider's role comes in. There are two kinds of providers though. One is the "cable TV" and the other one is the "dish". Commonly, a cable TV provider lets us watch as many channels as we want by connecting a cable cord from it to the service provider. This type of provider satisfies customers all over the world because it offers good quality reception. Conversely, the dish provider lets us watch a lot of channels by means of signal transmission from the satellite dish to the main satellite. Then the signal will spread unswervingly to other local and international TV stations worldwide after it connects to the main satellite. The function of the two kinds of providers is the same. Both of them want to entertain their consumers or clients. People will not just stick with an ordinary antenna-type television wherein they will only experience limited channels. They, on the other hand, would prefer cable TV or dish as their provider for entertainment. Channels that are common and well-liked of both cable TV's to mention a few, are HBO, CNN, ESPN and the like. These channels most likely attract the interests of customers. It means the number of daily subscribers, these channels earn profit and through the packages provided, they also make money from any cable or dish provider. Viewers don't actually mind on what kind of TV provider to use. All that matters to them is the quality of entertainment they will get. The next level of watching TV is the high-definition viewing or commonly known as HD viewing. Both cable and dish offers this. Again, the regular antenna-type television does not provide this type of viewing, only the cable and dish providers. In general, both cable and dish TV providers best suits and satisfies the entertainment needs of the present age. Although there are many similar benefits and offers both the cable and dish provides, still there's a big difference between the two entertainment TV providers especially as to how they work.
