When you book cheap ski holidays for the whole family you will want to make sure that the destination you choose can cater for everyone and Meribel is certainly a resort that can do just that. As well as its stunning slopes to enjoy, there are also two snow parks in the area and numerous fun zones that are ideal for grownups and children alike. If you have always fancied learning some tricks on your skis or snowboard then you may want to visit the oldest snow park in Les 3 Vallees - the Plattieres snow park. Situated at an altitude of between 2,100 m and 2,400 m, it is home to two half pipes, two quarter pipes and an exhilarating boardercross run. Covering 15 acres, it is smaller than Meribel's other snow park - the Moon Park - but is still a great day out for boarders and skiers of all ages and abilities. The Moon Park spans some 25 acres and also boasts two half pipes of different lengths, as well as a boardercross course that runs for 1,000 m. And after enjoying a few hours out on the snow mastering your next jump or trick, you may want to spend some time in the Chill & Grill area where you can grab a bite to eat or pick up some tips from some of the local experts. If you are worried that your kids aren't quite ready to hit the snow parks with the adults, then you'll still find plenty of attractions and fun zones near your Meribel chalets to keep them happy. There are two boardercross runs designed for juniors, so your children can get a feel for the thrill of racing down one of these exhilarating courses - and practise negotiating all the bumps and jumps along the way. For complete beginners, you may want to spend some time in the Zen Zone - an area set aside for children and those just finding their feet on the slopes. To make sure that you get the most out of your time at Meribel's snow parks and fun zones, you should check a local ski blog before you jet off to find out if there are any special events planned during your stay.
