When it comes to osteoporosis, there is actually proof that it does not work. The salespeople say that the waters have antioxidant activity. Antioxidants are nutrients. Most of them are found in brightly colored fruits, vegetables, spices and other plants. The minerals present in springs and groundwater are responsible for the pH level. Those minerals are not believed to have antioxidant activity. Chemists have said that ionizing water, which is what the home systems do, would actually cause the water to become an oxidant, not an antioxidant. Every claim that the salespeople make can be disputed by knowledgeable scientists. Several of them have written blogs on the subject to help people learn the truth. Home ionizers are not purifiers. They will not remove hazardous chemicals like chlorine or the cancer-causing THMs. Home water purifiers are more affordable than ionizers and are actually a worthwhile investment.
