The USA is one of the most culturally, linguistically and geographically diverse destinations a tourist can visit. Incidentally, the port of Miami is the world's largest cruise port, but that stands nothing compared to the popularity factor of the Miami beach, known the world over for its gold coast hotel strip, magnanimous residential palaces, so to speak, and as many recreational activities as one can imagine. The most iconic South Beach neighbourhood can be spotted with the blink of an eye due to its candy coloured deco buildings and the palm trees that surround them. Los Angeles: The second largest city in the USA after New York, Los Angeles, or LA, as it is popularly referred to, is situated on the Pacific coast of southern California, with the coastline stretching 76 miles from Malibu till Long Beach. The phenomenon of skyscrapers seems to be the hallmark of every American city, and LA is no exception. However, the main attraction is Hollywood, with the famed Beverly Hills following in as a very close second. The city was founded by Mexican settlers in 1781, and has grown from being a cow town to the days of the Gold Rush, to the discovery of oil. Hollywood migrated here from New York in the 1920s, and there has been no looking back since then. LA is the official film making capital of the world, as well as home to one of the best Disneylands in the world. Travelling to the USA is certainly incomplete if one does not share the fascinating experiences with family and friends.
