With sales of their smartphones touching dizzying heights, the going could not have been any better for these two industry veterans. HTC phones and Samsung phones are both known the world over for their superior quality smartphone that delivers more than they promise. After all, the higerst selling smartphones currently in the UK are the HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy S only. Of course, there are countless other smartphone from these two mobile phone majors that have done equally well this year. This quaterly report reveals figures that prove beyond any iota of doubt that both the HTC phones and the Samsung phones are way ahead of their rivals. To begin with let us know what both HTC and Samsung have done so far and what are their targets for the quarter ahead. Well, HTC Corporation notched up an impressive 5.8 million units for the third quarter and is aiming for nine million units sales for the fourth quarter. Similarly, the South Korean mobile phone major, Samsung has done 7.2 million units of sales of its handsets in the third quarter and wants a whopping 10 million unit sales in the fourth quarter. The sales of smartphones run on Android has certainly influenced these truly astounding figures.
