During my years on this wonderful world of ours, I have come across experiences that have really affected my life. I have been in a leadership role for most of my working years, and learning from some very powerful mentors. An Epiphany I had at a Recent Event While at a recent event I really got to thinking about the power of the people. The power that those around you have the most influence on you, and what you do. During the event I was able to observe people that seemed to blossom and just inspire each other; they seemed to feed off of each other's desire to succeed. This was due to the company they were with and their like mindedness. As I continued to watch I wondered if they are like this all the time, while the answer could be yes it could also be no. I thought of my life and how I carry on my daily life. I am a person that plugs into daily leadership calls, an hour of self development and reaching out to my brothers and sisters in the entrepreneur world. We are like the Smiths Dwarf Chameleon Believe it or not most of the general population is like a chameleon, they blend in with their surroundings. Our physiological condition affects us and those around us, we feel comfortable in being in the company of individuals like ourselves. Have you ever heard of success breeds success? It is a proven philosophy many embrace. When you are successful you tend to be more optimistic. Optimism and action provides results. So the action you need to take if you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people. Successful People Learn From Successful People The old theory of "follow the leader" comes into play here; we all played this game as kids. Remember how fun and easy it was to just follow someone? The power of the people is surrounding yourself with positive successful people and following their lead. They probably followed someone just as you are. Consider this, research has shown that we and to look for the company of others that is at least comparable to ourselves. People seem to be attracted to others based on their abilities and how those abilities could affect them in the future.
