T-Mobile has officially unveiled its next Android OS smartphone, but kept quiet for a few important details. Price and release date on T-Mobile G2 was revealed, however.
G2 will feature a large Touchscreen and keyboard, and a number of other advanced features.
retailer Best Buy is committed to offer this model which, as will debut on Oct. 6.
T-Mobile plans to begin letting customers pre-order this model later this month. Those who do not want to wait you can put in your reservation today by going to the Best Buy store.
This smartphone will sell for $200 with a two-year contract.
T-Mobile G2 Overview
T-Mobile G2 is to be slider with 3.7-inch WVGA touch screen, optical touchpad, and a large, landscape-oriented keyboard.
It will run OS 2.2 at 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This means that it will be the current version of Googles mobile operating system, but a slower processor than most other high-end models.
Because G2 is going to run the Android OS, is a very capable browser with support for Adobe Flash. It will also include an e-mail software, music and video player, and support for Exchange ActiveSync.
Technical Information
This smartphone will have a 4 GB internal memory, and will also be bundled with 8 GB microSD memory card. Users will be able to purchase(separately) an additional memory card to 32 GB capacity.
G2 will support T-Mobile service HSPA +, which means that it will be able to wirelessly send data fast enough to rival or surpass the current 4G network.
will have a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and auto-focus. In addition to photos, this camera will support 720p video recording.
Other features include Stereo Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5mm headset jack.
