The city is renowned globally for its sherry production, as well as for its resdients' excellent equestrian skills and as the birthplace of flamenco singing, so book a break at the central Guadalete Hotel and be in prime position to enjoy all the attractions. Here you can explore San Pedro Winery, also known as Fernando VII's Winery, dating back to the 18th century, as well as the El Castillo Winery, the walls of which have been on the site where medieval walls once stood. You'll then reach El Molino Winery, which has been erected on the site of the original winery and dates back to the 16th century. Taste the samples for yourself and pick up a bottle of sherry to take home. After enjoying your exploration of the cellar, pay a visit to the Andalusian Centre of Flamenco, where you can view flamenco-related items such as musical instruments and costumes at the museum and library. And you might also want to call in at the renowned Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art to have a look at the interactive exhibitions here and gain an insight into the world of horses. Before you head back to the hotel, take a look round the city and notice the diversity of the architecture - much of which dates back to the Moorish occupation of the area in the 11th century. And when your feet can't take any more, enjoy a relaxing dip in one of the many pools back at the hotel or soak up some warm rays on the sunbathing terrace.
