There are a lot of factors that have set DixieMat apart and allowed it to achieve what it has. First through, it would probably be a good idea to explain what exactly a laminated mat is. We gave a brief overview, but we might as well give the full scale description. Our “lam mats,” as they’re sometimes called, are bolted with steel, dome-headed timber bolts which allows an ultra sung fit ensuring that the bolts last as long as the mat. The way that the laminated mats are constructed allows more precise and tight layering and a more durable surface. Hardwood lumber is used to construct these three ply mats which have three layers of 2’ x 8” lumber. Even with these layers (which add significant durability and reliability) these laminated mats are light enough to easily be installed and removed wherever there is need. To aid in this ease of mobility, the laminated mats are built with cable loops that allow easy manageability. These hardwood mats are an important component of any job where there are environmental requirements like maintaining land integrity and ensuring erosion control. The kind of protection provided by these hardwood mats means no fill dirt needed to replace lost or damaged landscape and dramatically lowers the impact of heavy equipment on the land.
