As if his success in racing motocross, and rally was not enough, Travis Pastrana may be looking for even bigger mountain to climb. First of all, Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, the highest peak in north-eastern United States at 6,288 ft.
Andrew Stowell Autoblog reader is caught up in the famous Pastrana Mt. Washington Auto Road , where multiple X Games medal winner was supposed to identify turns, which draws attention to the pace and shooting a few interviews, which should be a new YouTube sensation, if it implements this mission.
According to Stowell, the plan is to break Pastrana Mt. Washington Auto Road, a record six minutes and 42 seconds Sets in 1998 by Frank Sprongl drive Audi Quattro(see Sprogl run in its entirety after the jump ). Pastrana will probably be his running X Games Rally WRX STI, but when Stowell grabbed him behind the wheel of time to practice WRX.
Astute readers recall my own story about the struggle Auto Road this summer in Autoblog at long-term 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT , which was accomplished in about 25 minutes among the busy tourist traffic. Eight miles the road is not for the faint of heart with over 100 turns. True, Pikes Peak is at 12.4 km and Turnier with 156 curves, but the famous stretch of road in Colorado increased an average slope of only 7 degrees. Mt. Washington Auto Road dates back to the sky at an angle of 12 degrees, and the road is narrower, too. So just to say that there is no disc in the park.
We are not sure exactly when Pastrana will probably try to write to run, or if in fact what he does there. Subaru of America told us that it is sponsored by Red Bull stunt, and they are not involved, and Red Bull Motorsports has yet to respond to our inquiries. However, our man on earth raises will attempt on Thursday. We will keep you when we learn how he did it.
