A card can be used for a lot of things, but it is noticeable that most of them are two-dimensional at best. It is always the flat variation of whatever you have imagined. That is why if you are really serious in paper crafting, then you should try making it more interesting by giving it more like three dimensions. That's right, it is time for a pop up card. Instead of buying the conventional ready-made card, making your own pop up card is a trial-and-error kind of fun that should be a worthy way to kill time and even to bond with family and friends. It's not just about making something, but having fun with finding out how. It can open you up to a lot of possibilities that you may not feel confident about in the past. It is not just a way to say that you care, but that you care more than the rest. Making a pop up card takes quite a bit of effort that can only come from someone who has put a lot of thought into it. Learning how does take quite a bit of time, so Making a pop up card should be simple enough even for beginners, with only A4 card, scissors, and glue being the necessary materials. A4 cards are usually used for this since they come in many colors and textures, so experimentation isn't limited to the procedures since the materials matter as much as the process itself. Bright colors should bring out the best in it, but you can also use lighter or darker colors for backgrounds and certain parts in order to highlight the main parts. Follow these procedures for a starter's pop up card. Fold the card lengthwise twice to make four partitions and set it aside. Take another piece of card and cut out a 4-5 inch rectangular piece out of it and lay it on the table with the longer side on the horizontal, then draw and color a design like a flower vase on it. On the other piece of card, draw a bouquet of flowers complete with leaves and stems, making sure that they are fairly pronounced. Cut out the bouquet, making sure that everything is still attached to each other, then glue it to the back of the flower vase and let it dry. Fold the small rectangular piece of card in half with the vase showing on the outside and fold back the short edges by half an inch or so. Glue the turned edges into the side of the card with the creases lined up, then allow to dry. You may then put messages and other stuff inside and fold it. When opened, the cutout design will pop out, which is a nice surprise.
