Are you in the market for a brand new mattress? Did you know that a memory foam mattress topper can save you the huge expense of buying a brand new mattress, and still give you a great night's rest too? My old mattress was really starting to bother my neck and back, so my husband and I started to research buying a new mattress. After the sticker shock, we decided to look into a less expensive alternative-- memory foam mattress toppers. Did you know that a memory foam topper can save you the exorbitant expense of buying a brand new mattress? All you do is lay the foam mattress pad over your old mattress and - wow - talk about a good night's sleep! This is exactly what happened to my husband and I. We got a 3.0" Visco2 Memory Foam Topper and now we're really enjoying our bed again. This mattress topper is a full 3 inches of memory foam cut in the shape of your bed, that you place over your existing mattress. We initially grappled over over buying a 1 or 2 inch topper, or upgrading to a 3 inch. There is also a 4 inch topper, but we felt comfortable with the 3 inch one. What finally convinced us to go with the 3 inch was the condition of our old mattress underneath. You see, my husband and I bought our old mattress over way back when, over 15 years ago. You could actually see and feel the indentations in the mattress where our bodies went. The 3.0" Visco2 was obviously more expensive than a 2 inch topper, and not as expensive as a 4 inch. When I factored in the cost of a brand new king size mattress, it really seemed like small potatoes in comparison. So I decided to just take the plunge and go for it. This memory foam topper is also made with breathable memory foam. I love to read at night before I turn the lights out, and now that my bed is supercharged with the new topper I am once again enjoying my favorite pastime. This mattress topper really is cool and comfortable. Are all mattress toppers created alike? Heck no. I compare it to an egg crate mattress topper at my mother's house- I feel like I'm suffocating when I lay on her guest bed, it's too dang hot. Plus my new topper is also composed of environmentally friendly materials. My mom's egg crate topper feels and smells like it's made in a toxic waste plant (sorry Mom, but it's true). With the climate of the current economy being the way it is, if you are in the market for a new mattress, maybe you can get a few more good years out of your old mattress like me with a 3.0" Visco2 Memory Foam Topper. And that's how a memory foam topper saved not only my old mattress, but my aching neck and back too!
