In today's world the risk of getting a disease despite how much care and expenses we put into our health just keeps increasing and increasing. With so much happening around us and hospital bills flooding our mailboxes, you would want to make sure that your health is in tip top condition. So, among the many diseases that lurk around today, lung cancer is one of the most common. To lower the risk of getting lung cancer, you should know some of the factors that contribute to it. The most common and prominent factor that contributes to lung cancer would be smoking. It's a bad habit that has been adopted by the majority of today's society. The content of a single cigarette has cancer causing carcinogens that can slowly but eventually take your lungs down. To determine how much of a risk you personally have with this disease can be roughly estimated by noting how long you've been smoking, how much do you smoke and how old were you when you first started. Think about it and maybe learn to quit too. Besides smoking, being a second hand smoker also contributes to lung cancer as the particles released from the smoker are generally smaller than the content of the cigarette, so it's easier to breath in and enter the body. In addition to that, a person's job can also be a contributing factor to lung cancer. Working in the mining or construction industry basically puts you at risk if you're not careful as exposure to asbestos in abundance can be quite harmful to the lungs. Also, when working with soils, rocks and the likes of it, you are easily exposed to radon gas that contributes to the disease as well, so take care to wear a mask at all times and you can also purchase a home kit to note the levels of radon gas in the environment or body. Since lung cancer is the serious killer for smoker and quitting smoking is the none other better choice. Find out how this herb vaporizer can help you to change your smoking lifestyle.
