Mikumi National Park, where you have the chance to see big cats (including the elusive leopard), as well as elephants, giraffe and a myriad of other mammals. In Mikumi National Park you can either stay at Kikaboga Wildlife Lodge, with amazing views over the Kikaboga watering hole, or camp in the heart of the park with an armed ranger for your protection. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a superb safari destination for those who prefer foot safaris. This park is known as a primate park, with 12 different species found in the forests. Four of these are endemic and can be seen when taking a short hike up the Sanje Falls, which is a series of waterfalls. Here you have the option of camping at the top of the falls and enjoying spectacular views over the Kilombero Valley. There is a new luxury lodge at Udzungwa Called Hondo Hondo after the numerous spectacular Hornbills that roost nearby, this is a must see for those in search of romantic locations. Ruaha National Park, Tanzania's second largest park is home to over 10,000 elephant. It is a breathtaking area, with large savanna's. Here you have a number of different options which includes wilderness camping to relaxing in luxury with a wide range of lodging to choose from. Here the ,more adventurous may choose to make a stop on their Tanzania Safari at the Msembe Bandas, where elephants and giraffe walk between the huts. Last but not least you can choose to visit the Selous game reserve the worlds largest conservation area. This reserve is home to a large variety of animals and birds. Here you have a choice of a number of activities which include walking safaris, boat safaris and game drives. Here again you can choose to camp in the heart of the reserve sleeping to the sounds of lions roaring or relax, overlooking the mighty Rufiji River, with a cold sundowner at a lovely lodge.
