1. Media Card Player Most digital signage displays include a Compact Flash or Secure Drive media card reader. These types of media cards are common in digital camera and cell phones and can be used to update the content being displayed on your digital signage. Simply remove the media card from your digital signage player and insert it into your computer using a USB connection, then drag and drop the new files onto the card. Once you have reinserted the card back into the digital signage player, the new files will immediately begin to display. 2. Networked Player With networked player displays, you will be able to hook up your digital signage player to your company’s existing network or Internet connection to access new content .This makes updating the content on your digital signage display easier to update by the day, hour, and even up to the minute. Networked players also offer increased security with fewer risks or complications. If your network has problems or shuts down for any reason, your digital signage player will continue to display the most recently updated content. 3. Motion Activation The feature saves power and reduces repetition while grabbing the attention of passing customers. When someone approaches your display the motion activation sensor detects their movement and begins to display your message. The sudden change in surroundings draws eager attention from everyone in the area. The motion activation feature should be located in an area with less traffic, otherwise the unit will run almost non-stop. This will result in your display attracting less attention with customers catching only bits and pieces of your message. 4. Touchscreen Touchscreen interfaces are one of the most advanced features of digital signage displays while still maintaining its simplicity. Touchscreen interactivity is basically a pushbutton on the surface of the screen; touch the button area on the screen and the corresponding slide/video begins to play. Larger touchscreen systems are fully customizable and give the user easy-to-use editing applications to create amazing in-depth touchscreen interfaces with basic computer skills and no programming experience. This technology allows customer to interact and be involved in the message you are trying to send. 5. Interchangeable Graphics Digital signage offers the opportunity to display an endless array of interchangeable graphics with bright, vibrant colors and long term durability. 6. Battery Powered Sometimes the perfect spot for a digital signage display doesn’t offer any power outlets. There are many products on the market today that offer battery powered displays. Battery packs are easy to replace by vendors or sales reps and can last up to 80 hours per battery pack.
