I wanted to talk to you about home security. Most people take the security of their home for granted. I know the feeling of having four walls around you and a roof over your head create a feeling of security. But your home is always open to the potential of being broken into and that is going to destroy any feeling of security that you feel inside of your home. The idea is to never get to that state. If you keep your home secure from the start than you don’t have to worry about the fears of someone getting into your home. I’m going to show you what you should be doing. You have to be able to identify potential weaknesses in your security. If you have a door in your home that isn’t that great, you should brace it. Brace anything that is a potential risk for someone breaking in. The way I do it, is that I brace a door before I go to bed if it isn’t that secure. That means the door doesn’t have a good lock or that it just seems a little loose. The brace is going to add a few hundred pounds of force to the door, so even if someone picks the lock, the door will not open. I also think it is important to create the habit of walking around your home before you go to bed and checking to make sure the windows are locked.
