By doing this, you are wagering all your chips against an equal value of the bettor's chip stack. However, you cannot go outside the betting limits placed by the casino unless they agree to exceed the maximum limit for you - which they do only in special cases. And however much you chase your lost bets to get your dough back, keep your case money intact for emergencies, you never know when a drink, meal or bed is preferable to the next game at the table. Even money bets are bets with 1:1 odds, where you get the amount you wagered in addition to recovering what you yourself staked. This is somewhat similar to double or nothing, where your winnings amount to double the wagered amount... or nothing.
