When a visitor goes to Europe there is the never-ending list of appealing things that they will be able to do. One thing visitors should always check out is a large list of art museums, and what they will offer is truly extensive. Plus they're extremely popular. For the 13 most visited art museums in the world, nine are situated in Europe. And of that nine, four are found in London plus three in Paris. It is also worth noting these museums are all within easy access of public transportation. Before we go furthermore we should define the museums we are actually referring to on this page. These are museums with any type of art on display and they are obtained from guest counts in 2011. By far and away the museum with more visitors that year was the Louvre in Paris, with about 10,000,000 guests. Next on the list is the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City which had a bit more than 6 million guests. We might assume that between Europe and also the USA there is a genuine museum tradition in each of these areas. Museums will be a fundamental part of a visit to any nation. They replicate the mores, historical past, and traditions of that respective nation's cultural fabric. Certainly one of my favorite museums that I have been to is the British Museum within London, and one could argue that the artifacts in that great place reflect that culture and traditions of most of the international locations that the British Empire with its prime had reigned over. It's truly an amazing collected works, and if those things were not encased there and under the guard of the British government a great many would remain in a spot not there for the people. So even though a few countries might object, I for one am grateful we can easily examine them. One greater thing about these museums is the cost of admission. Several, like the British Museum at least for 2012, were without charge, as are several others. Even so the charges for getting in to the ones that charge a rate, for example the Louvre in 2012 was just $15, and the Vatican museums were $21. Many people would likely believe that to be an absolute deal for all they offer. Also they'll usually have special exhibitions which come in for a fixed time, and there will be a charge for those. Not too long ago the British Museum had an exhibit about the Aztec culture that was impressive, plus well worth the cost. Art museums however are only a part of the plethora of museums to be had traveling Europe. When you choose to visit any city you'll find them to be an important element of that nation's culture.
