There is something for the first time come to Dar es Salaam by air, they will see a large area with high palm trees and mud house, far as the eye can see. Once on land, buildings built in a haphazard and not very clean. Meanwhile, international hotels are of good quality and well able to take advantage of the Seascape.

The city is divided into four distinct areas: the City Center office buildings, hotels, restaurants, bars, night clubs, parks and sporting facilities blend. "The peninsula, home to many diplomats and expatriates. It boasts spectacular views of the sea, the king of local restaurants, shops, hotels and sailing club. Then there are the coastal homes and resorts that deal with from 20 to 30 kilometers from 12 to 19 miles) north and south of Dar es Salaam. The remaining part of the city, unfortunately, is typical of low-cost housing, with a large population of three to four million people living near the poverty line.

Dar es Salaam has changed dramatically since socialism over capitalism aligned government during the past 15 years. Diplomats, big business and the influx of foreign aid donations resulted in the gradual improvement of local living standards. Infrastructure and public facilities, as well as in every year - often in the past power failures are much less frequent. Water and wastewater issues remain a high government priority list.

Swahili is the official language of Tanzania, but business communication, English is almost always used. A person can act with relative ease in knowing Swahili, but it is easier to learn to absorb the shop and exchange of local communities.

Being polite and greeting Tanzanians are the most important thing to remember is desirable, if this is in Swahili. Visitors should try to increase their votes, even if patience is tested. Dar es Salaam is a Muslim environment, and one should be very understanding of Muslim customs.
