Khajuraho temples, one of the most popular heritage Indian spots are located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh state. These temples are also known as 'The Khajuraho Group of Monuments', having the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples. The construction of Khajuraho temples began in the 11th century and continued for next 200 years. This historical monument is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The fabulous Khajuraho temples were structured during the Chandela regime, between 950 and 1050 AD. The architectural pattern of the temples is designed with spiral superstructures. Some temples are dedicated to the Jain pantheon while others are dedicated to Hindu deities – Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and several Devi forms.
