Before heading to the US for a holiday, Brits may be spoiled for choice over where to go, as the States offers so many different types of trip. From fun-filled city breaks to holidays exploring the wilderness and desert areas which can be found across the US, to chilled out California holidays and thrilling Las Vegas jaunts, the country has it all. And with so much cheap accommodation on offer across the US, visitors on a low budget could still find America a brilliant place to head off to on a holiday. Something to definitely take advantage of while in the US is wide range of San Francisco hostels available to stay in and the city is a great metropolis to explore as part of a hostel break to the states. San Francisco - also known as the city by the bay - is known for its hippy vibe and chilled out feel, which could appeal to Brits looking for a truly relaxing place to spend a few days. Just a short drive out of San Francisco is the world-famous Jelly Belly jelly bean factory, which is definitely a must-see on any holiday to the city. Head to the exciting plant for the chance to see exactly how the famous beans are made and pick up bags of the highly-flavoured snacks - which are said to have been ex-US president Ronald Reagan's snack of choice. The factory is in Fairfield, which can be reached in about 45 minutes by car from San Francisco. Visitors should certainly take advantage of the regular factory tours, which are held every 15 minutes and last a little under an hour. After the end of the tour, there is much to see at the factory but those on a break to the US may be tempted to head back to their San Francisco hostel with a bag or two of delicious beans. Rare and discontinued flavours are available in the factory shop so bean connoisseurs can pick up a bag of their unique favourite before heading back to the bright lights of San Francisco.
