How would you define the perfect wedding? Is it based on the color of the flowers? Is it the centre decorative items? Is it the huge, frosty cake? Is it the wedding gown? Is it the adorable flower girl and pageboy or the tasty food? Well, all these are the little things that add to the beauty of a wedding, but the perfect wedding only depends on the commitment, love and trust between a man and a woman. The vows shared that day between the groom and the bride, and their intention to keep those vows sacred is what constitutes the perfect wedding. In the present day, weddings have becomes a joke, sometimes a contract, and many a times an experiment. The commitment between a man and woman fades off sometimes even before the wedding day. It is awfully sad to see marriages being torn apart by pride and inability to adjust. Now the question ‘how would one know that the perfect partner is someone to hold on to for life’ would cross your mind. Well, here are a few things you should know to find out if the man for you is the one that will stand up in front of that altar vowing to be with you forever, for better and for worse, for sickness and for health until death do you apart. A life partner, they say is always the perfect complement to your own character. It is like a mirror image. Two likes always clash but opposites attract. This does not mean your taste in music, clothes, food, holiday spots etc. It means your plans for the future, your ego, your ability to apologize and accept fault, your subjection to correction, your ability to forgive and let go, so on and so forth. Clashes in relationships always begin with a little difference in opinion. If you think you are right and so does your partner, learn to give in and let go. If you think you give in too often and it is unfair, talk to your partner about it, and express that sometimes you would like an apology from the other person. You will be surprised to see how much difference this little compromise would do to your marriage in future. If your partner can see his unborn children in your eyes and he knows for sure he can live with your imperfections and love you despite them, you know for sure he is the one for you. Hold on to him, never let go, and you will be ready to tie the knot. Claire Jarrett is writing on behalf of WhiteWeddingGuides, who offer Autumn weddings and help people with planning a wedding
