Callaway X Hot Driver Create a Lighter Swing Weight

I am a golfer. I am used to play the Ping golf. And I have had the Callaway X Hot Driver for a month ago and absolutely loved it. The X-hot definately seems more forgiving than others I used.

The first thing that obviously grabs your attention with the X-Hot driver is the finish. Callaway has stepped outside the box by choosing to go with a matte gunmetal gray finish on the crown. X Hot’s adjustable Speed Frame Face allows you to set the face angle in an Open, Square or Closed position to fine tune the trajectory and appearance you’re looking for at address.

Not because it is radical, but instead because it is so clean and classic looking. The head of the X-Hot is a nice and evenly rounded shape without any of the triangle look you see with many heads out there. There is no doubt that it is a 460cc driver, yet it is in a subdued style that doesn’t seem all that large to your eye. Obviously the finish plays a role in this though as well.

I have a natural slice so the draw face turns a slice into a fade and a fade into a straight shot. I am also able to generate good distance with the discount golf clubs (about 220 to 240 yards in the air) which is about the same as I hit the G20 when I hit it well. I'm definatley more consistant whith this driver.

Still that cling gives me the knowledge of where  on the the club’s face the ball is at the moment of impact. This is very important to me, as I am still learning to work the ball. If I duck-hook it out on the range, it allows me to know whether I came in from over the top and straight hit it left off of the mid right to toe section of the club’s face, or if I forced a release of the wrists too early post impact and thus never gave a well struck ball a chance to fly properly.

The club is also made to promote more – and more consistent – distance, even on off-center hits. And a tighter curvature face relative to the previous discount Callaway RAZR Fit Driver is geared to provide a more preferred look at address along with consistent sidespin and dispersion to promote accuracy. In addition, the X Hot features an adjustable OptiFit hosel, which enables golfers to adjust the face angle into Open, Square and Closed positions.

I can honestly say that on a well struck shot the sound is unlike any other I have heard in a driver. It’s the ultimate combination of being muted yet solid and without the harsh metallic tendencies some drivers have. It should be stated though that the sound is not the same tone on extreme misses across the face, which is not to say it becomes a bad sound.

All in all, this Callaway X Hot is really a driver that presents a clean and classic shape. It really is one of those clubs that some people recommend. In my view, with the club I certainly think it achieves this goal along with still allowing plenty of feedback.
