Villaments is that the buzzword in Flats in Bangalore’s land lexicon. A villament is where an apartment ends and a villa begins. It’s a thought that’s gaining popularity with people who wish the posh of a villa and nevertheless crave the comfort and convenience an apartment affords. As the market research showed that the most property in Bangalore micro-market were priced between Rs 50 Lakh to Rs. 1.25 Crore. As the decent villa cost in excess of Rs. 2.5 Crore. A Bangalore based real estate developer, CMD, Bearys Group Mr. Syed Beary stated that the concept of villaments was pioneered by his group in its project. The Bearys in 2000 launched a villament project ‘Orchid Greens’ at the intersection of HAL Airport Road and Indiranagar 100 Feet Road in Bangalore. Over 60% of the total project space was reserved for greenery. To give buyers a feeling of privacy and space the developers are constructing each villament at a 45 degree angle so that no unit looks into another. And also every corridor leads to only one apartment unlike in regular apartment dwellings where one corridor leads to 4-5 apartments.
