A wisdom tooth is a set of molar that usually starts appearing at the early stage of 20s. It does bring in a lot of complications right from the period of its growth. Few will suffer with enormous mounting pain when they start to grow. It might even lead to removal of the teeth due to the unbearable pain. But if you are lucky enough to have escaped that phase without any pain, then you should really be happy about it. After the period of growth, if you accidentally encounter a situation to have the tooth broken, never ignore! Fix an appointment with your dentist and have a consultation at once. If you ignore consulting the dentist thinking that there is no pain and it will not harm you, you definitely mistook the scenario. It might lead to complication at any point of time. Infection due to it: Location of wisdom tooth is one of the most important places that are directly or indirectly connected to various parts of our body. Many problems can occur in that case. So not getting the immediate treatment is a big NO. Bacteria that are present in the mouth will penetrate inside the broken tooth, thereby causing a severe infection. This infection could start spreading from jawbone and the tissues around it to other parts of the body. There are symptoms that could let you know if you have an infection. Such signals include fever, swelling in the gums, selling around the broken tooth, unbearable pain and the gums around the broken teeth that have turned into red. Consult your dentist for examination. He might examine the teeth and might suggest in performing extraction of that remains of the broken teeth if needed. But it is always advisable to get the remains of the teeth removed. Usually Dental Equipment Extraction Forceps are used to extract that. Dental Extraction Forceps are one among several Extraction Forceps that are available in the market. Generally once you visit the dentist, he might not perform the extraction at once. The infection present in the teeth should be cleared. He would recommend you to take some antibiotics to treat the infection and the pain caused due to the infection to subside. Once the infection gets cleared, you will be sent to the oral surgeon. He will remove the affected teeth through extraction using Extraction Forceps. Obviously there will be so much of pain for which he will inject you with pain killer. The injection will be given locally in your gums to create numbness and then it is removed. After this, there will be some swelling, pain around the gums. There will also be some bleeding from that area. There are certain things to follow after extraction like avoiding solid foods, alcohol and hot beverages. Usually the recovery time will be around three to four days. It might stretch up to a week for few people. It also depends on the injury or the infection on how deep it has affected. Practicing a proper oral hygiene is also a must for healing process. Follow these methods to have a safe extraction.
