Veronica Hearst is quite famous in high circles of American society for her work in humanitarian and charity organizations. In addition her involvement in humanitarians and charity organizations she has a great passion for fashion and arts. Veronica Hearst possesses a dynamic personality. She speaks seven languages. She is also involved in American Hunger Alliance; this proves her concern for eliminating hunger from American society. Veronica Hearst has proved herself an asset to Americans for the Arts (AFTA) organization since 1998. This organization intends to create educational programs and extends opportunities for the affective participation of American in arts. For the greater acknowledgement for arts AFTA is working to expand arts education and is promoting different arts programs. Veronica Hearst’s efficient role as a chairman of National Awards program for AFTA cannot be denied. She has offered her services as a chairman of National Awards program for AFTA since 1998. Mrs. Hearst’s keenness for the arts is clearly illuminated by her services to this organization. The National Awards Programs, with in AFTA, recognizes and appreciates all the remarkable achievements of commendable Americans in the visual or performing arts, philanthropy, arts education corporate giving and advocacy. She has also been involved in the preservation of history. From the beginning of new Metropolitan Museum of Arts she has provided an intense support to the museum and has also been a member of the committee of photography for 15 years. She has her role in the restoration of the Walker Evans Archive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Veronica Hearst has also been working with White House Millennium Council. The main purpose of this council is to conserve the history of U.S by recognizing, medaling and appreciating the prominent cultural and scientific contributions which Americans have made in 20th century. Her contributions for the promotion, preservation and appreciation of arts among Americans will be remembered by the coming generations.
