The business runs 24 hours a day whether you work at it or not. It has to be one of the greatest joys in life to wake up to new orders and payments that arrived in your inbox and/or bank account while you were sleeping or enjoying yourself doing one of your favourite hobbies.

There are few requirements for staff. Many information publishing businesses are run from home by the publisher alone, although you may wish to employ staff in due course to carry out administrative tasks while you focus on the most important aspects of your business, such as product creation, sourcing products and creating joint ventures.

Information marketing businesses don't require you to keep much or any stock, which contrasts with many traditional businesses that have to tie up capital in stock lines. Information products can be delivered digitally, in which case you don't need any stock. If you are selling CDs or DVDs, these can often be created on demand. Needless to say you don't need any premises.

You don't need to have much interaction with your buyers unless you want to. The internet allows publishers to remain anonymous if they want, although it can be fun to interact with your customers and subscribers. Both approaches are fine; the great thing is that it is totally your decision.

There are also many non-financial benefits to information marketing on the internet. Of these, perhaps the greatest is the kudos and credibility you can build up in your area of business. Before long, you might even be regarded as the go-to expert in your field.

Ultimately, though, information marketing can provide you with passive, leveraged income for the rest of your life. More than that, by building up a solidly-founded, ethical internet business, you are creating a valuable asset that can help safeguard your financial security and the financial security of those you love. The right business can do this for the rest of your life and can provide a legacy you can pass on to your children.
