Handicraft, more precisely expressed as artisanic handicraft, sometimes also called artisanry, is a type of work where useful and decorative devices are made completely by hand or by using only simple tools. "Handcraft" as the name suggests is an art of creating objects or decorative items by hand, by a skilled craftsman. Items involving use of any machinery are not considered handcrafts. That is why each piece of handicraft is unique is presented in aesthetically rich form reflecting the craftsman skill. Craftsmen create masterpieces with exotic shapes, patterns, size, colors and textures. Hand crafted items can be bought from any private craftsmen or shops or even from public markets. Among these the least expensive handicrafts would be available from the local handicrafts. They are found in the remote areas of the city or villages. They are purely hand made items because they do not use any technology or machines to create their craft. Same commodities are available at shops, but here you may have to pay more. The market sales are also far cheaper when compared to shops but there could be considerable difference in the quality of the product. In markets there could be products from different sources and some may be not up to the quality that you expect. Also local craftsmen will have a large variety of selection. Also local craftsmen can design the hand made crafts according to your taste and fancy. You can give in your ideas to the local craftsmen on the trend that you require and get them done within no time. But in shops you are forced to purchase any one of the product that are displayed. Local craftsmen are experts in this area as they have many years of experience in the sewing technique. So these craftsmen will do any kind of intrigued patterns according to your taste and you will be charged reasonably. Here you can bargain on the price and get the goods at cheaper rates which is a great advantage. But in shops they have a fixed amount that you have to pay. But the main point to be kept in mind at this state is that, the quality of the product may vary depending on the price you pay. However, if you procure from the best source it is for sure you can get the best and cheap handicraft good from the local handicraft.
