Radiators are one of the most important and essential fixtures that any house must have especially in countries like the UK where temperatures drop below zero degrees on many occasions and the sky is overcast with clouds most of the time with intermittent rain and cold winds blowing most of the time. It is now practically impossible to survive without an effective radiator. This will minimize internal corrosion and extend the life of the heating system. A variety of materials are used for manufacture of the new radiators. Glass radiators are made with transparent 13mm thick tough safety glass and they can be wall or floor mounted. They do not need any plumbing for installation. Stone radiators are made of granite, marble and lime stone. They are energy-saving devices because the stones have heat retaining properties. Cast iron radiators are cost effective as they can gain heat and emit it efficiently for a long period even if the central heating is switched off.
