The benefits of natural fiber rugs

Home Improvement,Interior Design,Home Repair
Environmentally friendly and durable, natural fiber rugs are extremely popular. The natural fibers could be called as the hair like materials, which seems very similar to the thread. Natural fiber comes from plant (vegetable fiber) and animal (animal fiber) sources as opposed to synthetic fibers which are man-made.

You can find six different vegetable fiber types and three animal fibers. Seed fibers are collected from seeds or seed cases, the most common of which is cotton. Sisal and agave are examples of leaf fibers which are collected from leaves. Bast fibers are usual additional durable than other fibers. They are seen coming from the skin, which surrounds the plant's stem. Owing to their strength they are often used frequently for the option of paper and packaging. Examples of bast fibers include flax, jute, and hemp. Coconut is an example of a fruit fiber because it's collected from the fruit of the plant. The sixth category of fiber is stalk fiber. Unlike the other types of fiber, stalk fiber is actually the stalk of a plant. Among the nearly all common form of the stalk fibers could comprise the straws of bamboo and wheat. While vegetable fibers can come from the stalk of a plant, seeds, or leaves, animal fibers are made up mostly from proteins in the animal. Examples of animal fibers comprise wool, silk and cashmere.

The most common types of natural fiber rugs are; sisal, sea grass, jute, and wool. The seagrass rugs and sisal rugs are very much similar to each other in terms of strength and durability. If they are maintained properly, the sea grass and sisal rugs are seen long lasting. These rugs are particularly low maintenance requiring rug owners to vacuum them weekly. Sisal and sea grass rugs are recognized for being stain-resistance, but if a spill does happen rug owners just need to blot the stain until it comes out. It is not recommended to rub the stain as it could become worse.

Unlike the sea grass and sisal rugs, the jute rugs too are seen with less amount of maintenance. Unlike the other kinds of natural fiber rugs, jute rugs too are seen less durable and hence these are avoided to use over high traffic areas with the continuous foot traffic are certainly going to wipe them out. Many rug owners favor jute rugs for their texture. The sisal and sea grass rugs simply tend to remain a very hard choice, but at the same time the jute rugs also take place to be flexible and soft choice for you. It is therefore suggested to vacuum the jute rugs once or twice in a week exciting with or simply against the grain for quite a few quantities of times. If you see the stains coming, it could simply happen it's vital to dirt free effects immediately. Like sisal and sea grass rugs blot the stain. Rubbing the stain will make it develop and will give the stain opportunity to set into the rug making it extremely complicated to get out.

The wool rugs could be called as the most admired types of natural fiber rug for all the known reasons. It is soft and resilient and won't deteriorate as fast as other natural fiber rugs do. Wool rugs are found in casinos and airlines as they are soil and stain resistance. Wool rugs have need of additional maintenance than sisal or a sea grass rug. It is suggested that they are turned every six-twelve months and that they are swept and vacuumed weekly. It is also suggested to beat the rugs with the help of rug beater that is seen coming every month to just remove the embedded dirt and dust elements. If the spills are seen occurring with a blot the affected area could be seen like a paper towel. Although Dry carpet cleaner or Woolite can be used, oxygen based cleaners or abrasive detergents should never be used. These could cause good amount of damages to the wool rugs.

Natural fiber rugs come in myriad dissimilar varieties, shapes and colors. Durable and long stable, these rugs look fine in simply about any room of the residence and will add that touch of color that's missing.
