Decorated tin boxes are suitable for use as kitchen storage containers and also gift boxes. There are a number of ways in which the tin boxes can be decorated. Additionally, decorating the tin boxes can be taken up as a craft project by the kids. Decorated tin boxes can be used to store cookies, fudge, squares and candies. Some tin containers which are square or rectangular in shape can be used to store crayons and markers. Some decorated tins might be a perfect fit for use as a desk drawer and also as a desktop organized. One can store a number of items such as pens and pencils in these desk drawers. By tastefully painting the tin box, one can make a first aid kit and have in inside the house and one in the car. Tin boxes can also be used to store dry food items such as rice, wheat, popcorn, coffee and tea bags. One additional care that needs to be made is to wrap this dry food in a cotton cloth and then put it inside the tin box. This ensures that any previous odor is not passed on to the food. Another important application these used tin boxes lies in acting as a source for craft projects to be undertaken by the kids. During the vacation period, parents can encourage their wards to take up tin decorating projects. This will improve their creativity and also their social skills as they will be interacting with their fellow friends in the neighborhood and work as a group. For decorating tin boxes of various sizes and shapes, one can use paint, fabrics and color papers. With the availability of computer generated images and pictures of high resolution and clarity, one can print these pictures and images on a small paper roll and roll it around the tin can if it circular in shape or strap it around the edges if it is rectangular or square in shape. This can be done after the tin box has been cleaned in soap water and then allowed to be dried. Any moisture present inside the tin will cause the formation of rusts. After it has dried completely one can apply paints of a particular color of choice and then allow it dry for around 5 to 6 hours. If one doesn’t have the sufficient tin boxes with them, they can order these online from decorated tin suppliers.
